The Manager is also responsible for the supervision of the Medical Staff Quality (MSQ) associates. Performs other duties assigned by the Director. **The value you’ll bring to the team:** · Knowledgeable of all responsibilities of the Medical Staff Quality (MSQ) Department. · Assists, ensures and supervises the MSQ associates core measure collection, peer review, quality data collection and submission, outcomes, service data, CME requirements and performance improvement opportunities, is done accurately, efficiently and timely. · Ensures The Joint Commission requirements are met regarding Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) and Ongoing Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE). · Responsible for the integrity of quality data related to CMS/TJC/AHS/Leapfrog and other federal, state and local regulatory agencies. · Monitors and analyzes data/processes and assists in developing improvement plans to help ensure compliance with initiatives. · Responsible for the oversight of the various reports requested by Hospital and Medical Staff personnel and that they are done accurately, efficiently and timely. · Responsible for ensuring that the staff are educated (nursing, lab, pharmacy, medical staff and others as needed) regarding quality measures/outcomes as trends are identified. · Ensures associates are cross trained in all responsibilities in the MSS department. Qualifications **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:** **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:** · Currently licensed to practice as an RN in the state of Texas · Bachelor’s prepared in nursing or a health-related field with solid patient safety, quality management or risk management experience. · Minimum of five years’ experience in Nursing. **·** **Management experience preferred.** This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
