BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Cardiac Surgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital. As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.

This unit is a cardiac surgical step-down unit that takes care of post-surgical open-heart patients once they are stable from their CVICU stay.

The RN responsibilities include:

Caring for a group of patients with minimum supervision applying the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.Professional accountability and seeking opportunities to develop.

Qualifications:

Certifications and Licensures:

BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is requiredRN (Registered Nurse) license is requiredACLS Certification, if required by departmentNurse Specialty certification is preferred

Education:

Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is requiredBachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

Experience:

6 months of RN experience in acute care or 3 months RN experience in acute care with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment is required.

Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings,  3 = Nights,  4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No
