**Job Summary and Qualifications**
+ **Our inpatient transplant ICU Stepdown Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinicalexpertiseand the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. Our 10-bed Renal PCU RN team receives fresh kidney,pancreasand liver transplant patients from the ICU. We also provide care forpreand post-transplant patients, working closely with the ICU teams to prep, recover and move patients based on acuity. Unlock the possibilities in your nursing career by joining a team that cares like family.** **PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS** **·All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.** **·Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.** **·Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.** **·During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).** **·Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.** **·Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy.** **·Seasonal Staff will** **not** **be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND, D2/ECD, and D3/EVD)** **·Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.** **·** **Current FT/PT & PRN Level 3 employees are not eligible** **to join the Seasonal program for 2023-2024 with the exception of RNs that participated in the Seasonal program in the previous year.** **·Current employees of HWS are** **not eligible** **for the seasonal program.** **·Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.** **What You Will DoInThis Role** **You will perform comprehensive nursing assessmentsregardingthe health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols.** **You will plan,implementand evaluate patient care plans tooptimizeoutcomes and maximize available resources.** **You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice andin accordance withestablished policies.** **You will provide education and emotional supportappropriate toage, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient / family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.** **What Qualifications You Will Need**
+ **Advanced Cardiac Life Spt required**
+ **Basic Cardiac Life Support required**
+ **Registered Nurse TX state licensure or active compact state licensure required**
+ **Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing with an Associate’s of Science in Nursing required**
+ **BSN or current enrollment in a Baccalaureate Nursing Program, preferred**
+ **Current Specialty certification in area of practice preferred**
