The School Nurse assumesresponsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing processand the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a schoolsetting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contractedservices. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare’s philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accreditedregistered, practical or vocational nursing program Licensed as a LicensedPractical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing One year of professionalexperience, preferred Current CPR PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (percontract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state andlocal requirements Must be at least 18 years of age 1:1 Bus and School Nurse – New Ken – TCI – RNStudent attends The Children’s Institute. Has a G tube that is used PRN when he does not eat or drink enough (administered at home after school by family). 13 year old male. Needs help with toileting. Wears diaper. Does not have behaviors. Meals need to be cut in to small portions/pieces. Reminder to chew/swallow food. Parents would prefer for someone who is understanding of them and their child. Younger tends to be better but not a must. Would like to do a meet and greet.
