The RN Delegating School Nurse delegates the assignment ofroutine nursing tasks to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP). The RN is responsible for continuousoversight of the delegated tasks and maintaining documentation of the UAP. Salary : $55 per hour The oversight includes ensuring that delegated tasks arewithin the best interest of the student and apart of the students IHP/ 504plan. The RN is also responsible forassessing competency and skills of the UAP who will be performing routinestandardized nursing tasks. The oversight will include supervision of the UAP’s asrequired by regulation, contract and personnel management associated with theclinical delivery. The RN DelegatingSchool Nurse is accountable to all federal, state, and local contracts andprograms, and Amergis requirements. The RN Delegating School Nurse is also responsible for theongoing evaluation of UAP’s in collaboration with the district nurse. Criticalto this role is the assurance of clinical skills and competency of caregiversas well as safety for the student. This position will include ongoing caregiversupervision, development and evaluation under the direction of the DistrictBuilding Nurse and Amergis Healthcare Staffing requirements.
