We are looking to hire a **Registered Nurse** for our **Surgical Short Stay Unit** in Boise. This unit offers unique growth opportunities including cross training to PACU as well as SPAR. This is a 24-48 hour discharge unit and the team is supportive, positive, and offers exceptional patient care!
This position will be located at our Level II Trauma Center (https://www.saintalphonsus.org/location/saint-alphonsus-regional-medical-center) off I-184 and Curtis Rd.
As an RN at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you provide hands-on patient care while collaborating with colleagues, maintaining accurate documentation, and utilizing resources wisely. You serve as a patient advocate by promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. You also educate patients, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and develop care plans based on patient needs.
**About this Position** : RNs working on the Transitional Observation Unit will care for patients who need additional observation to rule out chest pains or outpatient status patients. It is a fast-paced, independent work environment with strong leadership and great opportunities for career growth and advanced training. Our ideal candidate is adaptive to change, invested in self-driven learning, and a team player.
**License/Certification:**
+ A current RN license is required.
+ Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
+ At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
+ ACLS within 6 months of hire, PALS within 12 months of hire.
