Position Summary

The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator is an experienced Trauma Registered Nurse who assists in the promotion of the performance improvement at Doctors Medical Center. Responsibilities of this role include advanced clinical practice, quality improvement, and education to both hospital and pre-hospital employees. Primary focus will be on the Performance Improvement process. The Trauma Performance will perform duties as directed and work collaboratively with the Trauma Program Manager.

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred       

Minimum Experience/Skills:

Knowledge of PI processes and implementation of PI/QA.  Pre-hospital experience.  RN with minimum of four (4) years experience in critical care or emergency nursing in Base Station/Trauma Center.  Previous teaching experience in acute care hospital, preferred.  Strong organization skills and a thorough knowledge of computers (Microsoft Work, Excel, and Outlook).  Ability to write routine reports, design forms, retrieves data, and the ability to speak effectively with management and staff. Ability to work independently. 

License/Certificates/Credentials: Registered Nurse with current California license. Current ACLS, TNCC

Physical Demands: 

Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking.  Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs of force.  Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, manual dexterity and mobility, ability to move quickly.

Vision Requirements: Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform position accountabilities
