Summary
JOB SUMMARYThe Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Nursing Dept. The RN has responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. The RN manages care for patients and their families through the application of the nursing process utilization, independent judgment, collaboration and communication with all team members including ancillary and support services. The RN develops a plan on nursing care and utilizes established clinical pathways which are implemented by the care delivery team with the supervision of the RN. The RN provides and delegates patient care activities based upon patient needs and team skills/abilities and supervises the delivery of care by team. The RN evaluates patient response to treatment and nursing interventions, as needed, revised the plan of care. The RN monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge. The Supplemental Staff RN will maintain proficiency in three clinical areas including but not limited to: education, mandatory learning experiences, computer based training, and competencies.
REQUIREMENTS Required Associate's Degree Preferred Bachelor's Degree Less than 2 years Required CPR - AHA Healthcare Provider RN - Registered Nurse NIHSS - National Stroke Assoc NIH Stroke Scale
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
The supplemental staff RN will maintain proficiency, mandatory learning experience, education and competency requirements in a minimum of three clinical areas.
