Position Summary
Provides education and consultative services for wound and ostomy patients, families, and clinical staff. Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and a superior patient experience within the frame work of shared governance
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Facilities and coordinates patient care of wound and ostomy patient in a fiscally responsible manner.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
â— All Hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
â— Or is Associates Degree or Diploma must be enrolled in BSN program and completed within 4 years of hire

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
â— 2 years nursing experience including care of the ostomy patient and patients with pressure ulcers and draining wounds.
â— Computer literate

Current RN licensure
Preferred:
Certification in enterostermal therapy/wound care
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
â— Knowledgeable of specialty beds and Skin care products.
â— Excellent interpersonal skills.
â— Ability to identify problems and resolve them using evidence based research in a systematic approach.
