Road Logistics Operations Manager

Your Role As our Road Logistics Operations Manager, you will manage the activities of our Road Logistics Department. You will be setting our goals and priorities for the department in line with our Branch and over company objectives, leading our team to operational excellence. Your Responsibilities Oversee staff and operations, including training, carrier management, and performance managementMonitor and manage department’s productivity, profitability, and financials in accordance with our policiesEnsure compliance with all relevant procedures, laws, and regulationsAct as primary liaison with customers, establishing service standards, and fostering relationships for efficiency and growthDevelop and implement automated processes to enhance department performance and coordinate with Sales for client visitsManage customer transition to operations team, ensuring KPI’s are met and service protocols are implementedOversee all business processes, from initial inquiry to billing, and provide rates & responses to inquiriesCoordinate with carriers and vendors, investigate shipment exceptions, and perform all other duties as assigned Your Skills and Experiences 5+ years’ experience in freight forwarding3+ years' experience as a manager and/or supervisorThorough understanding of U.S. Export regulationsDesigning and leading continuous improvement initiatives is beneficial Good Reasons to Join At Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
