Roads and Highways Analyst I/II

Job Description

Timmons Group is currently seeking a Roads and Highways LRS Analyst to join our GIS Staff Augmentation group.  The LRS Analyst is responsible for performing a wide variety of production tasks for Geospatial Transportation projects and data management.  They assist and support Project Managers and Developers in meeting project deliverable requirements and deadlines.  The ideal candidate will be inspired by data analysis to gain insight and innovation and have a knack for understanding geospatial transportation data. As a Esri Gold Partner, we are excited to be completely aligned with the cutting edge Esri technology implementations. 

​Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: 

Use various GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS), as well as various geographic data formats and standard data conversion and transformation methods, for geographic analysis. Perform transportation data model design and development tasks. Update Geospatial data on an as-needed basis. Create maps, configurable applications, data products, reports, and presentations in support of various GIS and technology projects. Writing end user documentation as necessary. Provide on-going support for GIS/LRS programs and functions requiring analysis. Troubleshoot problems associated with existing GIS applications, tools, and data. 

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate should have the following but not limited to: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Geography, Information Systems, or related degree, and at least one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Hands-on experience with Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) and/or Esri’s Roads and Highways is requiredExperience with ESRI ArcGIS Software (Desktop and Extensions, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server) Knowledge of ESRI suite of tools including Data Reviewer, Workflow Manager, is a plus Experience utilizing Python. Model Builder, and other Geoprocessing techniques Ability to work independently as well as part of team with excellent time management skills to ensure deadlines are met Strong oral and written communication skills
