Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring for a talented Roadway Design Segment Lead to join our team! In this role you will get to determine methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and select the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives. You will apply advanced engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead design development and engineering decisions on complex Design-Build/P3 projectsMaintain hands-on involvement with software applications relevant to engineering tasksMay function as discipline Project Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the groupMay plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering unit or project requiring a large-scale expenditure of manpower and financial investmentLeads other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement ProcessProvides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analysesEnsures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contractPrepares material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions; reviews supplier data; witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilitiesConducts surveys, studies, and site investigationsMaintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologiesHelps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.  May assist with other administrative and technical dutiesRecommends and prepares technical papers

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 10 years of related work experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license is requiredRequires co-location with the design team in metro Atlanta (out of state candidates should expect significant travel)Demonstrated ability to perform in a lead capacityExcellent written and oral communication skillsFamiliarity with industry practices, standards, and regulationsThorough knowledge of current technology and engineering software applications

Salary Range: 

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
