Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team, of the Transportation and Infrastructure sector, based in Brampton ON office and have the opportunity to work on various MTO projects.

What a day at EXP has in store for you  

Prepare preliminary and detailed CAD drawings associated with municipal/MTO transportation projects. Formulate quantity take-offs for construction cost estimates. Develop and compile specifications and tender packages. Conduct field visits during the design development and construction process. Coordinate project drawings with designers, project managers, CAD staff, and others. Contribute to proposal development (preparing schedules, conducting project research, preparing cost estimates). Ensure that the needs of the project are met in a timely and effective manner


What your experience looks like

Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University. 4 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with an Ontario consulting engineering firm. Completion of a college diploma in civil engineering technology or a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline. Experience in preliminary and detailed design drawing preparation associated with Municipal and MTO transportation infrastructure projects. Computer software skills including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, Excel & MS Project. Experience with MicroStation & Inroads would be an asset. Familiarity with various Municipal & Provincial design and drafting standards. An ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects. Good oral and written communication skills.
