In the role of Roadway EIT, we'll count on you to:
Work as a member of a design team to develop conceptual and detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects throughout the state of Montana.Take responsibility for the design of roadway geometrics, drainage, signing and striping, street lighting, traffic control and maintenance of traffic.Work with a team to provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications, calculations, and construction estimates.Aid in the development of concept alternatives for planning and safety studies as well as compiling technical reports.Work directly with technical leads to identify design challenges and evaluate potential solutions to improve our transportation infrastructure.Coordinate with multiple disciplines such as bridge, hydraulics, traffic, environmental and electrical to produce plans, specifications, and construction estimates.Conduct field investigations, as needed,Preferred QualificationsEIT orthe ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will be called a Roadway Designer and willbe expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.Roadway/transportation experience.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringFamiliaritywith MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience withcivil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or AutodeskInfraworks and Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., Openflows) asrequired
