Primary Responsibilities

HDR Engineering, Inc. is looking for a Roadway Engineering Project Manager to join our Transportation Business Group in Sarasota or Tampa, FL.

Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projectsIndependently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project' s developmentEstablish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingsParticipate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceConduct work sessions for design development and contract documents in conjunction with other staffCoordinate workload throughout entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on scheduleTrack financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to scheduleWork with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as neededPerform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of post-registration (PE) experience on roadway engineering projectsDemonstrated strong communication skillsExperience in marketing including preparing presentations and techincal proposalsMinimum of 5 years of project management experienceFDOT and Florida local government experiencePMPLocal candidates preferredRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering 7 years related experienceA minimum 2 years project management experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseMS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus) Demonstrated leadership skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
