Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Roadway/ Transportation Design Engineer to join the team in Jacksonville or Tampa, FL. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be mentored and trained by technical experts in the field of transportation design.

Role accountabilities:
As a Roadway Transportation Engineer, you will support of one of the industry’s leading technical and professional staff, you will assist our growing transportation design and traffic engineering group in Florida in the preparation of roadway design plans, engineering reports, studies, and analyses in a wide range of areas (e.g. traffic operations, safety and transportation planning projects).
You will be tasked with preparing conceptual designs and construction plans utilizing OpenRoads design software. This involves creating engineering designs that encompass geometric aspects of highways and streets, drainage design (hydrology and hydraulics), and the completion of various construction engineering and inspection tasks.
In addition, you will be responsible for generating transportation planning reports, conducting roadway safety studies, and overseeing general traffic engineering projects. The role also involves the collection of traffic and highway field data to inform decision-making processes.
Proficiency in using various software platforms, including MicroStation, OpenRoads, and related design and office software will be vital as you will complete Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control (EPSC) plans, inspections, and other stormwater-related projects.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $78,000.
