Maintenance Generalist

$$$$ Offering $5,000 signon bonus $$$

** Hiring for 1st and 2nd shifts and shift availability determined at time of offer.

*** Pay range from $21.80 to $28.70. 2nd shift is eligible for $1/hr shift premium.

Sign On Bonus:$5,000.00
Payout schedule:
$2,000 - 30 days
$1,500 - 90 days
$1,500 - 180 days.

Functions:

To maintain and promote the Tyson safety cultureReceive training as requiredPerform various positions as required/assignedAssist maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipmentAssign maintenance techs to equipment during process periodsAssist with preventative maintenance and breakdownsTrain maintenance techs on equipmentUtilize computer-based PM program to track equipment maintenanceFill in for absenteeism or assisting in other areas of plant

Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks\Duties

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Must be willing to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate with other Team Members, producers, USDA personnel and drivers.  Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.  Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

**Must be able to read invoices, packing slips, records of materials, etc.  ** Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork .

** 6 months industrial maintenance experience or equivalent education.
