Kforce is seeking a qualified candidate for a direct hire position as a Robot Software Engineer II. This on-site role is based at our client's office in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh, PA. Summary: The successful candidate will collaborate on developing algorithms and systems for robotic applications, including mapping, planning, localization, free space estimation, object detection, and sensor calibration. Working within a cross-functional Scrum team, the engineer will contribute to delivering high-quality software solutions that meet the evolving needs of users. Key Responsibilities: Software Development: * Design and implement robust, efficient code for robotic systems using programming languages such as C++ or Python * Develop algorithms for motion planning, perception, localization, and general autonomy * Implement sensor data processing pipelines to interpret information from sensors like LiDAR and cameras System Integration: * Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including hardware engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance * Configure robotic systems to ensure accurate and reliable operation * Troubleshoot software-related issues on robotic systems Testing and Validation: * Design and execute comprehensive tests for robotic software applications * Analyze test results to identify and resolve software defects * Validate system performance in real-world scenarios
