PURPOSE/ FUNCTION
Program, operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electromechanical equipment.  May assist engineers in testing and designing robotics equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program, edit, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMI’s (Allen-Bradley,Beckoff)Program, edit, and troubleshoot robotic workstations (Fanuc, Yaskawa Motoman, ABB, Kuka)Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, and microscopes.Analyze and record test results and prepare written testing documentation.Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.Maintain drawings with AutoCadTest performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and bridges.Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.Train others to install, use, and maintain robotic workstations.

QUALIFCATIONS

Degree related to robotics, electronics, controls, or automationExperience with Fanuc, Yaskawa Motoman, ABB, or Kuka robots is a plus5+ years of experience in a similar roleProgramming experience (Allen-Bradley preferred)Electrical/controls troubleshooting experienceAbility to read and interpret electrical schematicsFamiliar with AutocadFamiliar with industrial instrumentation (flowmeters, pressure transmitters, RTDs, proximity sensors, limit switches, etc.)Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammarKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
