Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will join the Robotic Systems Team as Robotic Applications Engineer and you will be at the forefront of customer applications! You will integrate our core technology into custom machines, transforming them into reliable smart robots that solve real-world tasks. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the quality of the software for our autonomous industrial cleaning robot, and taking ownership of software updates of the many machines on the field. You will perform ad-hoc feature testing and thorough release testing for every software update of the autonomous industrial cleaning robot.The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Sevensense Robotics Division in Zürich.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tInteracting directly with the customer, offering support and debugging issues reported by end-customers, while keeping track of open topics.•\tDeveloping improvements, new tools, and, at times, new product features.•\tCollecting and communicating findings from testing, customer support, or debugging to the technical project manager or the product team.•\tSupporting ad-hoc with evaluation or integration work on other customer robots as well as the Sales Team with preparation of robot demos and fairs.

Qualifications for the role

\tMaster’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar experience with a focus on robotic systems.\tAbility to set up and deploy software on autonomous systems.\tPassion for robotic systems integration and working hands-on with robots.\tProven experience with ROS2, Ubuntu, Python and C++.\tAnalytical and creative mindset with the ability to troubleshoot without supervision, solve complex problems, and implement innovative solutions.\tTeam player who is excited about working in a dynamic work environment.\tFluency in English and willingness to travel.
