Under the direction of the Production Lead, this position performs set up and welding operations on an automatic welding machines. This position differs from Level II in that the incumbent is primarily an operator and is not able to trace or do any higher level programing of the robots. They may be in the process of learning this, but are not yet able to do so regularly and independently.

Responsibilities Required of All Levels:
Load or feed work pieces into welding machines to join or bond components.Read drawings, work orders or production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications.Turn and press knobs and buttons or enter operating instructions into computers to adjust and start welding machines.Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices.Record operational information on specified production reports.Start, monitor and adjust robotic welding production lines.Inspect, measure or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using measuring and testing devices.Ensure all equipment is functioning properly.Identify errors and notify the Team Lead/ Level IIIRegular and reliable attendanceKeep area clean and organizedFollow safety procedures and instructions Maintain productivity throughout shiftMeet production expectations set by team lead/plant managerWork quickly and accurately with minimal mistakesOther duties as assignedComplete regular daily/ preventative maintenance including:Ensure welding nozzle is cleanCheck quality of welds to ensure welding tip is healthy - if not notify Level II or aboveClear gas outlet holesEnsure nozzle spray levels are appropriateWipe down welding arm with a damp clothWork quickly and accurately with minimal mistakesComplete regular daily/ preventative maintenance including:Ensure welding nozzle is cleanCheck quality of welds to ensure welding tip is healthy - if not notify Level II or aboveClear gas outlet holesEnsure nozzle spray levels are appropriateWipe down welding arm with a damp clothOther duties as assignedTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
