What Will You Do?

As a Robotics Engineering Intern, you'll have the opportunity to design and contribute to next generation autonomous Toro turf equipment. You'll gain hands on experience working directly with machinery and software that controls that machinery. Prior to and during the beginning of your internship you'll have the opportunity to define which aspects of robotics you'll specialize in. You will collaborate with a team of multi disciplined engineers to build new features and improvements for navigation, decision making, machine controls.\ Key responsibilities include:

Development, debugging, and enhancement of software within autonomous projects.

Creation of mobile robotic subsystems for localization, navigation, path planning, and sensor fusion.

Optimizing automation pipelines and processes to build and test packages.

Create remote diagnostic tools and utilities.

Learn about all aspects of an autonomous machine from working directly on hardware to cloud based control applications.

Work closely with electronic, system, and software design engineers to help optimize overall product performance.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

Currently a Sophomore, Junior, or a Senior planning on attending Graduate School currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field (required).

Understand the particulars of software with languages like C/C++ and/or Python.

Experience or interest in Linux systems.

Experience or interest with Bash scripting.

Experience or interest with CICD pipelines.

Experience with sensors including radar, sonar, lidar, IMUs, GNSS, and vision systems.

Familiar with common communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, RS232, and CAN.

You must have good oral and written communication skills.

Thrives in a team environment.

Results-driven, action-oriented, and enthusiastic.

Strong problem-solving and resolution skills.

High degree of integrity and commitment to achieving results

Competitive Pay- The anticipated pay range is $22.00-33.00 per hour.
