Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Robotics Business.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tFacilitates HSE risk assessment conducted by the line management and ensures all necessary preventive measures against the identified hazards are implemented.•\tReports HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and takes appropriate actions.•\tFacilitates, assists, and provides guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.•\tProvides feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.•\tSupports the HSE Manager in reporting progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required.•\tAssists the line managers and supervisors in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and requirements for role fulfillment, as per local HSE laws and group/business-specific requirements.•\tSupports and drives behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.•\tSupports and embeds an exemplary health and safety culture with a strong focus on the environment across their respective organization.•\tEnsures that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively.•\tContributes to and/or plans and executes HSE-related projects.•\tDevelops project objectives and reports the progress to management.

Qualifications for the role

\tCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Health, Safety, or related fields, in the United States. \tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. \tUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions\tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines\tDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality\tCollaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
