As the Robotics Technician I, you will utilize a combination of mechanical, electrical, computer and software skills to work with smart technologies, such as robots, automated guided systems, and computer-integrated manufacturing equipment.

Essential Functions

Perform Warehouse Operations Duties when the automation is in normal operating condition.  Material Picking, Delivery, and Cycle Counting Train and operate Powered Industrial Trucks (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) Must possess the ability to lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques

Assist the Robotics Technician II in the following areas when the system is down or fulfill this roll in the absence of the Robotics Technician II's absence

Actively look for opportunities to improve equipment through monitoring/analyzing performance of equipment Troubleshoot/debug machinery or equipment problems utilizing necessary tools/software (ex. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Robot Programs, Digital Multimeter (DMM), etc.), schematics and wiring practices Repair or replace broken components and test machines for performance Read/interpret schematics and layout drawings of equipment Coordinate/assist adjustment and calibration of equipment Coordinate/assist in cleaning and lubrication of machinery Discuss automation problems with Automation Engineering Teams/other departments Recommend improvements to assembly, maintenance, safety, test method or product through automated processes Monitor, inspect, analyze and interpret statistical/test data for equipment performance Optimize/improve output in various operations areas Must possess the ability to lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques

At a minimum, you’ll need:

Completion of academic coursework in Industrial Electronics/Robotics/Mechatronics or 6 months experience Ability to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level and pass Fall Protection Training Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment Strong mathematical skills Strong analytical thinking Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology Strong knowledge of design techniques and tools Proficiency in computers and electronics Knowledge of production processing

It’d be great if you also have: 

Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience
