Job Description
We are looking for a Robotics Technician for a System Integrator in Menomonee Falls, WI. This role involves working closely with the lead person throughout the build and debug process of each project to ensure complete and on-time delivery to the customer with the highest quality. Knowledge of correct debug practices is crucial to both the startup and commissioning of projects.
ResponsibilitiesAttend kickoff meetings for assigned projects and document any important information relayed from engineering to help the project succeed.Manage and control all testing and run-off documentation on the project, including customer specifications, cycle time charts, breakdown of quoted hours, and drawing packages from the Project Engineer and Systems Engineer.Attend weekly project status meetings from the time of power-on and debug, working with the Lead Man to prepare presentations using the whiteboard and communicate issues with engineering, resources, and other concerns.Prepare accurate estimates of work remaining using the assembly hours tracking sheet and provide updated hours assessment at the weekly project status meeting.Communicate daily with project managers on project status.Review material shortage lists with the expeditor to ensure component delivery aligns with the project schedule and milestones.Manage assembly personnel to ensure efficiencies in the build and debug of the project, forecast manpower needs, and maintain a list of remaining work.Verify that assembly personnel are following customer specifications and using correct assembly practices.Essential SkillsRoboticsPLCAutomated systemsRobotics programmingFanuc robotsVision systemsABBStar robotsHMIPLC programmingAutomationFanuc programmingRobotic programmingProgrammingElectricalAdditional Skills & Qualifications4 to 6 years of robotic and/or PLC integration to manufacturing equipment experience.Automated systems electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.Robotic offline simulation programming experience.Vision system integration to robotics and automated equipment, troubleshooting and programming of vision systems.2 or 4-year degree in Electrical, Software Development, or Mechanical Engineering.CAD and SolidWorks experience.Work Environment
The company has a highly technical group of engineers who work in a fast-paced environment, designing and building custom automated machinery primarily for the automotive industry. Projects often have short lead times, sometimes as short as 16-20 weeks, with the engineering team having as little as 6 weeks to complete their tasks. The electrical and mechanical teams must collaborate closely to design, develop, program, debug, and finalize the machinery for customers. Engineers typically work 45 hours per week, though this can vary from 40 to 50+ hours depending on project demands. The dress code is business casual.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
