Give direction and support to department consisting of 11-15 direct reports, servicing 3 facilities.
Responsibilities and Requirements1. Team DevelopmentOverseeing or facilitating the hiring, training, evaluating performance, and development of the maintenance team.Setting goals and giving direction to support achievement of goals.Being available and approachable to direct reports, serving as a mentor.Personnel scheduling, time, and attendance approval.Communicate regularly with cross functional leaders.2. Equipment and FacilitiesMaintaining Predictive and Preventative Maintenance program (currently in SAP). Evaluating and improving the program’s effectiveness.Minimizing customer impact from equipment breakdowns. Reacting to breakdowns urgently and ensuring proper internal communication and decision making takes place.Participating in the development of capital expenditure plans, by identifying and proposing equipment and asset needs.Coordinating and monitoring work with outside contractors.3. Technical knowledgeKeeping current with ongoing changes in technology as it pertains to the industry.Working knowledge of electrical controls: PLCs, HMIs, motors, drives, etc.Working knowledge of industrial equipment and systems: HVAC, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, etc.Competent in CAD software (Solidworks, Autocad)Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints.Working knowledge and experience with programs: EPA, OSHA, HAZMAT, ARCFLASH, LOTO4.
