Job Overview

Weatherford, a leader in the Oil & Energy industry, is seeking a dedicated Rod Pump Technician to join our team in Clairmont, AB. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assemble and disassemble rod pumps, follow work instructions to fulfill customer needs, and occasionally transport pumps/equipment to customer locations. As a Rod Pump Technician, you will embark on a comprehensive learning journey, including computer-based modules and classroom training, to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Proficient in mechanical skills Openness to acquiring new knowledge and abilities Collaborative team player with the capability to follow instructions Willingness to work overtime and some weekends Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in the oil field Familiarity with Artificial Lift/Rod Pump operations

Responsibilities

As a Rod Pump Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

Assembling and disassembling rod pumps (under supervision) Following work instructions to fulfill customer needs (under supervision) Occasionally transporting pumps/equipment to customer locations Applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks in strict accordance with Weatherford OEPS standards

Education

While no specific educational qualifications are required, candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn will be given preference.

Certifications
