Job Title: RodmanJob Description Assist designator in carrying the locating equipment to job site and back. Assist testhole foreman in taking pictures of measure downs, utility sizes, and pavement thicknesses for test holes. Assist in performing levels and complete level notes to the top of the exposed utilities prior to backfilling testhole. Backfill, compact, and patch the excavated testholes, clean and restore the areas prior to leaving the job site on a daily basis. Responsibilities + Carry locating equipment to and from job sites. + Assist testhole foreman with photography and measurements. + Perform levels and complete level notes for exposed utilities. + Backfill, compact, and patch excavated testholes. + Clean and restore job site areas before leaving each day. + Ensure that utility designation and location tasks are carried out safely and effectively. + Collect and download project data in accordance with contract documents and quality control protocols. Essential Skills + Willingness to learn and follow directions from Party Chief. + Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. + 0-3 years of field experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High interest in surveying. + Experience with total station or AutoCAD is preferred. + Experience with land surveying, utility locating, location services, location mapping software, general labor, and GPS. Work Environment Reporting to the Party Chief / Field Coordinator, this position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. The role involves physical labor, including carrying equipment and backfilling testholes. The work is performed 100% on-site, ensuring tasks are carried out safely and in accordance with contract documents and company policies.
