Rogue Transfer Station CDL Utility Position

ROGUE DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING, Inc., a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Class A CDL Utility Personnel to join the team in White City, OR!

Schedule: Tues-Sat, 8:00am-4:30pm, Flexible Schedule 40-50 hours per week.

Pay Rate: $29/hr or DOE, Wage review after 90days, with regular wage increases after.

This is a support position for Rogue Disposal and Recycling Transfer Station with high performance-based career growth potential.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

Supplemental Class A Tractor Trailer Driver as needed. Complete routine trips between the transfer station and tipper platform area at Dry Creek Landfill. This position requires you to adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures at multiple safety sensitive sites, as well as perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

Transfer Station Utility Personal as needed. First point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic, and ensuring a safe working environment. This position provides support to all departments as needed.

Follow all site specific and safety related direction at Dry Creek Landfill.  Yard and facility maintenance including debris and clean up.Picking up litter & sweeping windblown trash.Onsite general maintenance & upkeep.Assistance with tools & equipment.Assisting mechanics & other departments as needed.Learning the operations of the transfer station.Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.Spotting Trucks.Various utility tasks as needed.Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement as a minimum.Must be able to operate both Manual & Automatic transmission vehicles.Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.At least 2 years of work experience.  Preferably in a labor type position.Experience operating equipment; Forklift, skid steer, excavator, or similar preferredMechanical ability a plus.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus.Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.Frequently walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb stairs and ladders.Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts which require following basic safety precautions.The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
