Job Summary: 

The Solar Sales Analyst will be responsible for meeting weekly and monthly sales goals set by management. This position will report directly to Senior Manager of Residential Solar and work closely with other members of the Solar and Product Innovation teams. Effectively consulting consumers on solar requires a mastery of the technical aspects of solar, the ability to establish relationships with prospects and a passion to further the adoption of renewable energy. 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Professionally represent Green Mountain & Reliant brands.  Clearly conveying our history in renewable energy, and years of experience in solar development and innovation in Texas, and a never-ending commitment to quality and customer experience. The ability to manage a large volume leads and convert to sales. Possesses knowledge of incentives, rebates, and standards for residential rooftop solar. Willingness to gain a full understanding of available products and financing options offered in the market place. The ability to use consultive sales techniques to differentiate our sales and partnership model compared to other offerings in the marketplace. Adhere to NRG and install partner(s) set pricing standards. Ethical and high integrity sales practices a must. Compliance expectation standards as well as sales quality auditing on a as needed basis. Prepare solar designs, proposals and acquisition options based on industry standard proposal software. The availability to review proposal remotely or in person based on customer preference and geographic location (this is a must). Qualify and manage inbound solar leads. Identify and position the appropriate solar energy solution, based on information provided by the customer. Achieve and maintain periodic sales and customer experience goals. Attend scheduled meetings with prospects to answer general questions. Maintain and update databases and sales portals on a regular basis. Provide general customer support. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Working Conditions:

This is a hybrid work location position with the individual reporting to the Houston NRG office three assigned days a week and work remote on the remaining 2 days. Occasional travel in the Texas region. Work occasional irregular hours, must be generally available during normal business hours. Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

 

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience selling energy or electricity-related solutions. Proficiency in MS Office applications (specifically Excel) salesforce, and CRM tools. The ability to discuss and review technical information in layman’s terms.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Solar solutions experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail sale, quota driven role with a demonstrable record of consistently exceeding goals/metrics. Bachelor’s degree.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience/proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM. Experience working remote. Experience/proficiency with industry leading solar system design and proposal software (e.g. Aurora, Enerflo, etc.) Experience/proficiency working with third-party industry leading financing tools (e.g. Everbright, Good Leap, Mosaic, Sunnova). Manage escalations related to front end customer concerns. Ability to multitask and work successfully in a matrix organization with competing priorities. Ability to collaborate efficiently and effectively within Green Mountain Energy as well as channel partners. Possess strong interpersonal, relationship building, organizational/planning skills, and verbal and written communication skills. Strong mathematical/analytical skills. Must be able to work independently and multi-task. A true desire and willingness to help customers. Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.
