Room Service Associate

Part-Time, 20 hours per week, 4pm-8pm

Job Description:

Responsible for serving meals to patients in a professional and efficient manner. Works on assigned patient unit(s), and provides services that include, but not limited to, assisting patients in making meal selections, assembling, delivering, and picking-up meal trays, as well as fulfilling special requests, and needs, throughout the shift.

Job Duties:

Demonstrates knowledge of all therapeutic diets and the proper foods and condiments served with the particular diets.Uses Catering to You Guidelines for speaking menus to patients; i.e. speaks menu to patients 1 to 1.5 hours prior to lunch and dinner; uses scripting for presenting food choices.Offers alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies and sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.Communicates with diet office and production staff on special patient needs or requests.

Preferred Requirements:

One to three months of job-related experience.HS Diploma/GED is preferred.
