Room Service Associate - Waterloo - Full-time
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** **Description:** **Position Purpose:** Responsible for enhancing patient and family satisfaction by collecting and recording their food selections. Assists in ensuring that patients receive foods/meals according to their prescribed diet. Works closely with Clinical Nutrition and other IDT to ensure patient's nutrition needs are being met. **What you will Do:** + Assists in assuring patients receive food according to prescribed diets. + Documents patient intake. + Communicates relevant clinical observations to the patient care team. + Maintains safe, clean, and organized patient room and unit kitchenette. + Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures. **Hours/Schedule:** 1.0 FTE; 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period; typical hours are 7:00am- 5:30pm but can vary, does include weekend and holiday rotation. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians while performing their job duties. + Intermediate language, intermediate reasoning ability; ability to read; basic math; ability to measure weights/volume. + Knowledgeable regarding hand hygiene and food safety. + Strong customer relations and communication skills. + Ability to be dependable and to follow through on written and verbal instructions. **Position Highlights and Benefits**  We care about your well-being, both physical and mental, which is why our benefit package includes:   + Wellness programs  + Personalized health, dental & vision insurance plans + Paid time off  + Long- and short-term leave  + Retirement planning  + Life insurance coverage  **Ministry/Facility Information:** MercyOne Northeast Iowa provides expert health care to eight counties.
