​Schedule Details: This position is a 1.0FTE working 80 hours every two weeks. Shift start times vary between 5am - 6:45am, and end times vary between 1:30pm - 3:15pm. Every other weekend and holiday rotation are required.

What You Will Do:

The Room Service Tray Runner assembles and delivers patient trays in adherence with dietary guidelines, ensuring friendly, professional interactions with patients. Responsibilities include meal delivery, snack preparation, floor stock management, and maintaining infection control standards.

 

Responsibilities:

Tray Assembly: Assemble patient trays with meals, beverages, and snacks based on diet orders and restrictions. Meal Delivery: Deliver trays timely, set up for the patient, and contact clinical staff when needed. Patient Identification: Confirm patient and room details using two identifiers before delivery. Snack & Floor Stock Management: Prepare and deliver in-between meal snacks, fill floor stock orders, and check for expired items. Menu Delivery & Cleaning: Distribute menus and clean nourishment center coffee machines weekly. Feedback & Communication: Report patient feedback to relevant staff. Infection Control: Follow handwashing protocols before/after patient room interactions. Dietary Knowledge: Complete training on IDDSI and therapeutic diets. Team Participation: Attend department meetings and assist with additional tasks.

 

Requirements:

1 year of relevant experience preferred High School Diploma/GED preferred
