 About the Role:  

The Rooms Controller is responsible for assigning rooms for all arrivals while keeping personal guest preferences and stay history in mind. This team member must be highly personable and be able to engage with all guests, including elite and other VIP guests as well as department leaders throughout the hotel. This position must be able to handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodate special requests, resolve guest complaints, and assist guests in all general inquiries about the hotel.

What you will do:

Assign rooms for all arrivals, with considerations of the estimated time of arrivals, personal guest preferences and stay history. Special focus on Elite guests and other VIP guests.

Closely partner with Housekeeping team on status of room vacancies and occupancies as well as guests' preferences and needs.

Partner with additional departments to ensure all guests' needs are met.

Closely partner with Sales and Marketing team as well as additional departments to ensure showrooms are prepared.

Professionally engage and communicate with guests and team members.

Utilize daily hotel reporting and hotel computer platforms to manage guest preferences/needs and occupancy of hotel rooms.

Assist other departments (i.e. Front Desk) when needed and regularly attend weekly department meetings.

What you Bring:  

Must be fluent in English, written and verbal

Education in Hospitality Management preferred

At least 3 years’ previous supervisory experience in luxury hospitality preferred

Ability to effectively communicate with team members from all departments

Demonstrates strong leadership, ability to actively engage with GM/ Hotel Manager, Restaurant GM, PR/ Marketing team, Operations team and Elite/VIP guests

Schedule and Hours

This position is a full-time position.

Requires ability to work Nights, Mornings, Weekends, and Holidays.
