RESPONSIBILITY: + Sets up and operates CNC Rotary Transfer Machine. JOB DUTIES: + Ensure proper material and stock size for job. + Select, pre-set, and load proper tool holders, endmills, drills, inserts, and saw blades. + Sets cutting speeds and feed-rates. + Able to make adjustments using offsets to ensure parts meet specification. + Perform machine set ups and first piece inspection. + Document all information needed to run job. + Operate machines and inspect parts in accordance with Quality Procedures. + Verify conformance of parts to specifications using micrometers, dial indicators, optical comparator, and other gages/tools. + Review job during run and notify Supervisor of cycle time variations. + Accurately weight up parts for correct daily count and record information on time slip. + Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance functions. + Keep work area clean and orderly. + Constant pursuit of continual improvement. EDUCATION/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: + Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally. + High school diploma or GED preferred. + One (1) year manufacturing experience required; four (4) years preferred. + Must be familiar with the use of precision gages & measurement devices + Adept at CNC programming and general machining principles, including G & M code. Must be able to troubleshoot, adjust and offset as needed. + Strong math & blueprint understanding. Dimensioning, tolerance and strong decimal skills are required.
