Volt is hiring a Hybrid-Rotating Equipment Engineer for our client in Woodlands, Texas.

\r\n\r\n

In this role you will be responsible for design, specification and services related to the rotating equipment and related equipment packages and auxiliary systems for integration into industrial process plant designs.

\r\n\r\n

As a Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tInterface with sales, estimating, and proposal group for equipment selection and pricing on initial project estimates\r\n\tSelect, size, and determine costs for gas & steam turbines, compressors, expanders, pumps and motors to meet process design performance requirements\r\n\tPrepare datasheets, specifications and requests for quotation\r\n\tReview and evaluate supplier proposals and prepare bid tabulations\r\n\tUpdate plant design documentation to integrate equipment design into facility design\r\n\tConduct design reviews and fabrication inspections\r\n\tAssist with P&ID, 3-D piping model, and HAZOP reviews\r\n\tProvide field assistance for mechanical completion, commissioning, startup and operations as required\r\n\tInvestigate and resolve field problems with rotating equipment\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

Qualification/Requirements:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent\r\n\tPE License preferable\r\n\tMinimum of 10 year of industry experience\r\n\tThorough understanding of industry codes and standards including API, ANSI, ASME, ASTM, IEC, NEC, NACE, and NFPA 59A\r\n\tKnowledge of fluid dynamics, principles of turbo-machinery, and materials of construction\r\n\tFamiliarity of instrumentation and controls related to rotating equipment\r\n\tExperience with skid structural design and equipment support and packaging related to rotating equipment\r\n\tAbility to perform calculations and use sizing programs for rotating equipment\r\n\r\n\r\n

Salary: $160-167K per year
