Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer for an oil and gas client located in downtown Houston. This engineer will join their Technical Services Team, providing technical subject matter expertise to operations and project organizations. This role ensures compliance using engineering standards and industry best practices. The individual in this role may mentor early-career Engineers and travel to field and vendor locations, including international locations, may be required. The Technical Services Engineer is a subject-matter expert on rotating equipment, including pumps and turbomachinery, with a diverse workload and can expect changes in work priorities and multiple projects with short turnaround times. Must be comfortable working in office three day per week and have excellent communication skills.

Skills and Requirements
Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
10+ years of experience working with rotating equipment on the liquid side (pumps, motors)
Expertise in rotating equipment, including but not limited to centrifugal and positive displacement pumps used in process and pipeline service, compressors, steam, and gas turbines
Experience with technical writing specification and procedure development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of API 610, 618, 619, 674, 676, 682, and RP 682
Familiarity with ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, and 49CFR195
Experience using 2D and 3D AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Current passport and ability to travel to field sites ~20% time Field experience
ISO Vibration Category II or higher certification
Operator or OEM experience
Experience working within both midstream & downstream companies
Welding knowledge
Previous experience with audits and compliance (DOT 195) null
