Rotating Equipment Repair Coordinator

Role Summary:

This position has been created to generate and maintain a comprehensive facility production schedule that adheres to specified KPI’s and provides an exceptional customer experience, with focus on DCI (Disassembly, Clean and Inspect). 

The Rotating Equipment Repair Coordinator role will be the primary point of contact for DCI activities.  This position will work directly with Sales and End Users to understand their issues with the equipment and their expectations for its repair while setting priorities and communicating status back. The role will direct work force on daily tasks required in order to meet expectations as well as develop and maintain production schedules in the disassembly and incoming inspection phase of the order. This position reports to the Site Manager. This position is located in the West Chicago, IL facility.  

Responsibilities Include:

To plan production schedules for DCI (Disassembly, Clean and Inspect) activities based on customer order requirements and to work closely with mechanics and purchasing to ensure availability of material and resources to meet production targets and delivery deadlines. Manage the customer experience by acting as main point of contact for the pre-release inspection order.  Provide customer updates as requested. Direct shop personnel and coordinate all outside services needed to complete the DCI. Coordinate with Sales to understand the DCI requirements.  Create DCI work instructions as needed through the DCI process, including pulling applicable drawings. Communicating clearly and professionally with shop mechanics, project engineers and customers to discuss the component and pump conditions. Ensure proper paperwork and documentation are in order prior to shop release.  To participate in programs/procedures to improve processes, lead-time, production yields and delivery performance.  

Requirements:

Technical degree (Associates or Bachelors of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Engineering).  Relevant technical school training or work experience will be considered. Basic knowledge/understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, inspection, assembly.  An understanding of Material Planning, Inventory Control, and Material Requirements Planning  Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal communication skills are necessary.  Must be a self-motivated contributing team member and good people person.  Advanced experience in Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, and Powerpoint. 

Preferred Experience/Skills:

Mechanically minded and capable to use typical shop tools and measuring equipment a plus.
