Role

Oversees the coordination and management of the collection services routing, ensuring that services are effectively and efficiently dispatched to obtain a high degree of customer satisfaction. This position is required to be on-site daily.

Essential Responsibilities

Leads a team of dispatchers, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure the team is operating efficiently and effectively. Develops and implements strategies to assist the business by analyzing software and tracking systems that monitor the status and locations of vehicles and employees. Leverages dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and other technologies to manage operations and improve communication between the dispatch team, field managers, and customers. Ensures that all dispatch operations comply with policies, processes, laws, regulations, and safety standards. Maintains accurate records of the dispatch operations, analyzing data to improve dispatch efficiency and effectiveness. Interacts frequently with management concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarifications. May lead briefings and meetings as the department manager. Supports the managing of attendance issues with drivers, including tardiness, missed meal periods, and unexcused absences, through coaching and disciplinary action, including overtime and reassignment pay. Addresses any Department of Transportation (DOT) issues with drivers. Ensures policies and procedures are followed per the collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Partners cross-functionally with other departments to update account records and resolve customer issues. Represents the Company in community activities, company activities, and with public contacts. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Four or more years related experience.  Computer application proficiency including Microsoft Office suite of applications. Intermediate Excel skills. Familiarity with dispatch systems and software platforms. Understanding of GPS tracking systems. Geofencing and Route Optimization preferred. Understanding of KPI's relevant to dispatching. Principles of employee training, supervision, and evaluation. Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Valid Driver’s License required.
