Route Planner - Frisco, TX or Irving, TX
The Route Planner serves as the vital link between sales and distribution, translating daily customer orders into delivery routes. The role relies on regular communication to understand the needs of the sales team and the abilities of the distribution team, as well as sound judgment to balance the two. The Route Planner requires relationship-building and puzzle-solving skills in equal measure to create optimal delivery routes and manage branch expectations. Daily outputs are efficient delivery routes, loading plans, and daily reports prior to warehouse start times.

Maintain master file information in Descartes and Fleetloader.Build relationships with branch sales and operations leaders.Keep customer information and product lists up to date.Review previous days route plan and gather adjustments.Confirm available trucks and drivers available for daily routes.Efficiently Route Daily Orders based upon established business rules.Utilize Fleetloader or Black Box/Magic Logic to build pallets and load trucks efficiently.Provide daily reporting required to manage the delivery routes to the branches. Must have DOT regulation knowledge.
