Routing Coordinator
Description Our client located in The Heights area of Houston, TX is seeking a Routing Coordinator. The Routing Coordinator must have 2+ years logistics/transportation experience, must be tech savvy and analytical. The Routing Coordinator will be responsible for analyzing routes and determining new more efficient routes. This is a direct hire opportunity open due to growth paying up to 70K plus benefits working 100% in office. Responsibilities • Analyze existing transportation routes for potential areas of improvement • Employ your logistics and distribution skills to determine more efficient routes • Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and update route data • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation logistics • Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations • Maintain a safe working environment in line with OSHA standards • Handle technical aspects of logistics, using your tech-savvy skills to enhance processes • Address and resolve any logistical issues that arise, ensuring smooth operations • Keep up-to-date records of routes and logistics data for future reference and analysis. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role • Proficiency in Logistics, including planning and managing logistics, transportation, and customer services • Familiarity with logistics and distribution systems, including direct involvement in coordinating and tracking movement of goods • Strong understanding of transportation logistics, including efficient shipping and distribution of products to customers • Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets, analyze data, and prepare reports • Proficiency in KPI reporting, including the ability to track performance indicators and prepare detailed reports • Understanding of DOT compliance, including knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations and procedures • Familiarity with OSHA standards, including compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in the workplace Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
