Join the CarMax Automation Technology team as an Analyst II in robotics process automation. The Automation Technology team is responsible for the overall strategy, performance and delivery of robotics process automations and other automated solutions across the organization as part of CarMax’s back-office intelligent automation service model and continuous improvement initiatives. **What you will do – Essential Responsibilities:** + Analyze process automation requirements and design robotic process automation solutions, architecture, and logic. + Collaborate with business and technical SMEs to define automations, business rules and exceptions. + Configure and develop intermediate robotic processes and objects using workflow principles in accordance with RPA program and industry standards. + Leverage intermediate development technical experience to support process and technology teams in the full automation lifecycle to include building technical requirements and conceptual design specifications; building prototypes; demos; validating script performance at scale; integration, end-to-end and UAT testing; deployment plans, release documents and stabilization. + Train and work with less experienced analysts and business users on robotic process automation development, automation lifecycle methodology, and continuous improvement. + Assist the robotic control room with operational support, production fixes, change requirement implementation and provide timely responses and solutions as needed. + Demonstrate a passion for staying on top of technology and business solution trends, experimenting with, and learning new intelligent automation technologies such as data analytics, document recognition, data visualization and reporting tools. + Support special projects as assigned by Senior members of the team and performing other duties as assigned. **Purpose of the role** The Analyst II, Robotics Process Automation position, is primarily responsible for the development of process automations, operations, and overall support to the robotics automation lifecycle. The role also includes providing technical knowledge and expertise to less experienced team members in robotics and enterprise systems as well as small continuous improvement project participation. **Qualifications and Requirements:** + Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience + Minimum 2+ years of business experience to include the successful delivery of robotics, VBA/.Net/SQL scripts and/or other automation technology solutions + 1+ years’ experience with Integration technologies REST, JSON, XML, SOAP and/or Web Services + Proficient in object based coding and intermediate knowledge of coding languages such as Java, VBA, .Net, Python and/or SQL + Blue Prism, UI Path or other robotics process automation technology experience/certifications preferred + Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required + Knowledge of the agile software development lifecycle including solution design, development, testing, documentation, deployment, operational support, and maintenance + Ability to embrace change + Ability to express opinions and innovative ideas + Ability to challenge others and the status quo appropriately + Ability to build and maintain strong relationships throughout the organization and collaborate with other departments and teams + Ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously to deliver on tight timeframes and drive to achieve team goals independently + Ability to serve as a “go-to” person for the team as needed + Ability to think logically and conduct root cause analysis + Ability to take the time necessary to make the right choice; does so quickly if needed + Ability to identify potential issues and present solutions, partner on major decisions as appropriate + Ability to consider long- and short-term impact of decisions + Ability to train, support and provide guidance to other associates Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office or Dallas, TX Technology Hub and have a Hybrid work arrangement.
