RPI Rentals Outside Sales Representative
Description

RPI Rentals Outside Sales Representatives drive revenue by developing business relationships and providing customer focused solutions to rental of equipment and sales of construction related products in the construction industry.  Customers will include contract companies, industrial and commercial building contractors.  They are subject matter experts and consultants for internal and external customers in the application of our rental equipment and sales items.  You may be required to travel up to 50% of the time in this role.

Responsibilities:Develop relationships with existing customers and trade partners, acting as a single point of contact for such customers.Gain new accounts and meet or exceed rental and sales revenue goals through visits to various customer job sites/offices both to Hoar Construction as well as 3rd party customers/contractors.Develop, plan, and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results/goals.Identify customer needs and collaborate with RPI management to deliver on those needs.Understand market conditions and competitive environment to maximize pricing opportunities.Optimize product and service offerings to diversify customer base and reach additional market segments.Provide a full range of customized services and solution-based options to customers.Make formal presentations to customer decision-makers and educate them on equipment and supplies.Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of equipment for customers.Report and project sales activities using software tools.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel proficiency required. 3-5 years of outside sales experience required, preferably in the construction or rental equipment industry.Valid Drivers’ License required.Diligent attention to safety.Ability to negotiate with and influence decision makers, sell products, and offer customer solutions.Adapts to changing business and customer needs.Communicates professionally and effectively.Passion for customer service.Self-motivated to achieve goals and deliver results.Strong level of product knowledge specific to the construction industry however, candidates with strong sales acumen and record of achievement will be considered.Physical Demands and Working Environment:The conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
