Interventional cardiology at BIDMC is an exciting, progressive, and dynamic environment focused on all aspects of percutaneous coronary intervention procedures. Our team is nationally and internationally recognized, performing over 6000 procedures annually. We are leaders in developing and evaluating novel technologies for the treatment of complex cardiovascular disorders.Our interventional suites consist of 4 cardiac catheterization rooms, three hybrid ORs, three electrophysiology labs, and a 15 bay cardiac holding area. We support state-of-the-art catheter-based clinical and investigational treatments, perform peripheral angiography and highly complex EP interventions, including 3D mapping, sophisticated ablation techniques, device implants, and lead extractions.
The structural heart program is a national leader in transcatheter valve replacement (TAVR), valvuloplasty, PFO, ASD and VSD repair.
Our fast-paced Interventional Cardiology unit performs cardioversions and TEE procedures and provides highly specialized pre and post-procedure care.
Job Description:
Assists the invasive cardiologist and/or vascular surgeon in the performance of invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Shares responsibility in the acquisition and processing of state-of- the-art imaging and the efficient operation of equipment in the interventional and endovascular labs. Participates in hemodynamic monitoring, scrubbing and circulating duties. Maintains adequate levels of inventory in assigned procedure and restocks inventories as needed. Reports to the Chief Technologist and Nurse Manager.

Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Science required. Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science preferred.License Radiology MA License required., and Registration American Registry of Rad Tech required., and Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required., and Certificate 2 Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.1-3 years related work experience required.Must be able to work in a 20lb. lead apron.Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.Preferred Qualifications:
ARRT Registration in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography preferred.Competencies:

Physical Nature of the Job:
