Under the supervision of the Manager of HOSS, the Patient Account Liaison is responsible for the set-up, maintenance, billing, reporting and fulfillment related to HOSS services, supplies and equipment. This includes but is not limited to the following functions and tasks: Taking patient customer calls to collect information needed to make the arrangements to address patient needs for home oxygen and sleep supplies. Oversee and assist with electronic and manual billing. Work with the Respiratory Therapy staff and system vendor to obtain any needed supplies. Add/remove/edit insurance information to bill accurate and timely insurance claims. Contact patients to discuss insurance and/or billing issues. Work with system and suppliers to set up patient equipment and support Respiratory Therapists in the deployment of this equipment to patients. Promotes and ensures continuity in the quality of customer service administered by HOSS. Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Previous customer service experience required. Experience in HOSS specific supplies and equipment preferred. Knowledge of coding process preferred.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required. Required to participate in a Bright Tree training or specific billing systems training course within the first three months or must have prior training in the last five years. Annual participation in ongoing HOSS educational opportunities required to keep abreast of industry changes and trends.
