Job Overview:
Weatherford is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RTOC Well Engineer II to join our team. This critical role oversees the real-time monitoring and quality assurance/control (QA/QC) of complex well operations, ensuring they are executed with precision and safety. The RTOC Well Engineer II will bridge the gap between theoretical designs and practical field implementation, providing continuous oversight and swift corrective actions to maintain operational integrity.
Responsibilities: Oversee real-time monitoring and QA/QC of operations, utilizing a comprehensive database for risk analysis during design and execution phases. Support training of well engineers, project engineers, and dirwell abandonment engineers on engineering analysis and root cause analysis. Provide real-time support to the operations team to enhance drilling efficiency, minimize risks, and achieve well objectives. Assist with effective communication between all parties (client, Product Lines, third parties, etc.). Skills: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong teamwork and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and close out assigned tasks. Working knowledge in specific expertise in several well abandonment standards: O&G UK, Norsok D-010 or BSEE. Practical and results-oriented approach to deliver a safe and executable plan. Highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. Qualifications: Minimum 7+ years of relevant well operations/Engineering experience. Experience in Directional Drilling/MLWD/Well Monitoring/Remote Operations. Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required.
