Responsibilities Develop high-quality web applications using Ruby on Rails Ensure that the SocialVolt platform is built with the best solutions for scalability, availability and security Provide input into selecting the right technologies for the job at hand Work within a dynamic agile environment Requirements 1-3+ years of Ruby on Rails development Knowledge of web stack technologies such as jQuery, HTML/CSS and MySQL/PostgreSQL Strong grasp of Javascript fundamentals and its object-oriented programming model Unit testing: TestUnit, RSpec Automated Integration: Cucumber, Webrat, Capybara, Selenium Strong teamwork and communication skills Some Unix or Linux experience Computer Science or equivalent degree Hard working and driven by challenge
