Ruminant Veterinary Adviser
**THE POSITION** Are you looking for a varied role that allows you to use your technical expertise in a commercial setting? As a veterinary surgeon experienced in Ruminant practice, the Veterinary Adviser is central in providing technical support and expertise to internal and external customers. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager and working closely with the sales and marketing teams, you will share your technical knowledge and develop strong customer relationships to ensure the continued success of our Ruminant products. You’ll be a skilled, confident communicator who enjoys building relationships within a diverse team, and who gains satisfaction from sharing their expert knowledge with others and supporting colleagues to deliver commercial objectives. Experience in Ruminant veterinary practice is expected, prior experience of working within the pharmaceutical industry preferred, but not essential, as full training and support will be given. This is a full-time position and will be field-based covering the North of the UK. The ideal candidate would be based in this territory and must be happy to travel on a frequent basis. **TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES** To actively support the UK and Ireland Animal Health business to meet its objectives: • Technical advisory support on all aspects of the use, efficacy and safety of Ruminant products. • Work in partnership with brand teams to deliver technical insights and add value to development of marketing materials. • Ensure marketing and sales activities comply with pharmacogivilance, regulatory requirements, and the NOAH/APHA Codes of Practice. • Develop and maintain relationships with key external experts. • Technical training of internal and external customers. • Technical support to sales team and customers through field visits. **REQUIREMENTS** • Veterinary degree • Previous experience in Ruminant practice • Strong planning and prioritisation skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Commercial focus • Analytical and detail oriented • A high level of product, technical and disease area knowledge. **WHY THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK** Boehringer Ingelheim has been recognised as a Top Employer in the UK.
