Overview

Assists fabricators in fabricating products for customers. Helps in the day-to-day operation of the fabrication shop. Begins training in becoming RX fabricator. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with reasonable accommodation.Assists fabricators in the process of fabricating product.Preform basic maintenance of facility machinery.Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.Communicate with shop lead for day-to-day workload.Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.Palletize products for shipping.Support and assist VEMC.Preform clerical duties for shop.Maintain and secure work tools.Clean and maintain work area.Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.Begin training process on becoming RX fabricator.Preform quality control procedures.Be available for on call afterhours services.Perform other duties as assigned.Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others, report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.

Required Experience

High school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree).Vo-Tech Training or equal experience in welding and fabrication.

Preferred Experience

Three years’ experience preferred but will consider other applicants.

Skills & Abilities

Knowledge in the following areas: assembly; parts; ability to read and understand specifications; quality control; and safety.Working knowledge of PVF products and basic welding functions and procedures.Experience using one or more of the following tools: horizontal cut off saw.Ability to set up and operate machinery such as grinders.Ability to read and interpret specification required by customer.Ability to read and understand standard tape measure.Overhead crane and sit-down forklift experience preferred.Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

Working Conditions

Ability to work in warehouse conditions exposed to various elements of temperature and noise. (non-climate controlled).
