SUMMARY The Safe Kids Anderson County student internship is for current undergraduate and/or graduate students interested in contributing to public health and child health initiatives in home safety, play safety and road safety. This is an on-site and virtual paid internship where the intern will actively learn how injury prevention research is applied to public health practice, contribute to program development activities and participate in collaborative education and awareness efforts. SPECIFIC DUTIES + Coordinate meeting logistics, attend meetings, and plan sessions to maintain relationships with referring agencies and community members + Contribute to the development of health education and health promotion materials or tools + Assist with outreach to individuals and groups of Safe Kids Anderson County’s Coalition membership + Provide administrative support QUALIFICATIONS + + Minimum high school diploma, some college required + Experience in health education, health promotion, program development and planning a plus + Background or demonstrated interest in public health and/or social sciences
